Harvey Montijo, MD is the Founder of Optimal Wellness and Longevity Institute. Dr. Montijo is Board-Certified and Fellowship Trained by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr. Montijo is a recognized authority on the latest advances on medical technology.
In addition to his practice at Optimal Wellness and Longevity Institute in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, Dr. Montijo is the CEO of Center for Bone and Joint Surgery of the Palm Beaches. Dr. Montijo is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Total Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Specialist. Dr. Montijo has an extensive knowledge in the latest surgical techniques and trains surgeons around the World, as well as in the United States. He serves as the Medical Director of Total Joint Center at Wellington Regional Medical Center, Member of the Board of Directors of Wellington Medical Regional Center, and CEO of The Center for Bone and Joint Surgery.
Dr. Montijo earned his Medical Degree from the University of Puerto Rico. A Veteran Major of the US Army, he completed his Surgery Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Service at Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Ft. Gordon, GA. Dr. Montijo's academic achievements were honored, and he was a member of the Dean’s List as a student. At the same time, he was a four year Judo State Champion in Puerto Rico and a Gold and Bronze Medal Winner at the Judo Central American Games.
Dr. Montijo is a Member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Association, Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, Palm Beach County Medical Society, Honorary Member, Panama Orthopaedic Society, Latin American Medical Association, and Florida Orthopaedic Society of Palm Beach County. Dr. Montijo’s research is published in several peer-reviewed medical journals, and he is a sought after national and international presenter.

Tracey Franklin Medical, Assistant
Frances Umpierre-Nichols, Practice Manager and Consultant
Tracey Franklin (Medical Assistant) and Frances Umpierre-Nichols (Practice Administrator) oversee all of the administrative and clinical duties. Tracey and Frances set appointments and respond promptly to inquiries from our patients. They provide patient care, including IVs and blood workups. Tracey and Frances consult with patients to help determine the most appropriate Optimal Program or regimen for each patient, based on results from tests and the doctor’s evaluation.
